Suggested Uses
For approximately 5 servings, the packaging suggests 450g beef, chicken, lamb or shrimp; 350g onions; 100g carrots; 150g potatoes; 1 tablespoon cooking oil; 540ml water; and one 92g box of curry mix.
- Cut the meat and vegetables into suitable pieces. Stir-fry with oil in a large skillet over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes.
- Add 540ml water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for approximately 15 minutes, until the ingredients are tender.
- Turn off the heat. Break the curry roux into pieces, add to the skillet and stir until completely melted.
- Return to a simmer for approximately 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Ensure the meat or seafood is fully cooked, then serve hot over rice or noodles.
For a serving variation, spoon the prepared curry over rice with sliced cooked katsu, or serve with udon noodles.
